Gulfwinds Community
Location: Pasco County, Florida
Coastal Design Consultants was selected by Gulfwinds Development and later Beazer Homes to provide Planning, Platting, Survey, Geotechnical, Environmental, Site Design, Roadway Design, Utilities Design, Plans Preparation, Permitting & Processing and Post Design Services for a residential subdivision consisting of 184 duplex units and 83 single family units on 79 acres in Holiday, Pasco County. The project included wetland mitigation and conservation easements. Gulfwinds is a coastal community which was designed and built to be above flood elevations. A FEMA conditional letter of map revisions was completed and approved, removing the individual lots from the flood zone, resulting in lower insurance premiums for each of the community residents.
